1. Information we collect

• Account details: your email address and password (managed by our authentication provider), your name or pen name, and your country.
• Onboarding answers: what you want to use VPublish for, your experience level, and details you give about your book.
• Your work: the books you create, your story material (such as ideas, characters, locations, outlines and notes), your chapters and saved versions, and files you upload, such as Word documents and images.
• Collaboration: the email addresses of people you invite and the roles you give them.
• Technical information: our hosting and infrastructure providers process data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the service. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your appearance setting.

This version of VPublish does not take payments and does not collect payment details.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide the service to you and the collaborators you invite, to send account emails such as confirmations and password resets, to keep the service secure, and to respond when you contact us.

3. Who can see your work

Your books are private. They are visible only to you and to people you invite, with access limited to the role you choose for them. This version of VPublish does not publish or distribute your work.

4. Service providers

We rely on service providers to run VPublish: our database, authentication and file-storage provider (Supabase), our hosting provider, and an email delivery provider. They process information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Your choices

You can update your book content at any time, and export your manuscript as a Word document. To access, correct or delete your account information, email us at the address below. When we delete an account, we may keep limited records, such as security and audit logs, where we need them for security or legal reasons.

6. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date above.
